When will you graduate: 01/07/2010 or 07/01/2010? If an American would look over 01/07/2010 it would understand January 7, 2010; but, if a European would look over 01/07/2010 it would understand July 1, 2010.

Tip #27: Pay attention to how you write dates in your resume.

What you need to do:

1. Remove the day from the date to reach 07/2010, i.e. July 2010.
2. Transform in words (e.g. January, February etc.) the month such that you'll have an unambiguous date like July 2010.

Misunderstandings have no place in your resume and should be avoided with all cost. A small glitch like a wrongly misunderstood graduation date could make the recruiter consider you unavailable for their starting date.
